I recently attended the Utah Watercolor Society (UWS) Spring Exhibition Opening Reception in Provo, UT with my husband and children. It was a wonderful collection of paintings in which I was lucky to be included.   My painting, "Stargazer," was also selected by the Utah Division of Arts and Museums to be part of their Utah Watercolor Society Travelling Exhibit that will be on display in various venues throughout the state over the coming year. While visiting with some of the other artists and spouses at the opening reception, I overheard part of my husband's conversation with another man - the husband of one of the artists. They were discussing the wives' being artists, coming to receptions, etc. The other gentleman said "So, your official title is HOA...Husband Of Artist."  Made me giggle. Yup! King of Yellow Heart returns home

This past year your piece traveled to Weber State Library Blue Peak High School Canyon Rim Elementary North Elementary in Cedar City Fillmore Elementary Manilla Elementary The children especially love the pieces when they travel to their schools and are always sad when we take the exhibit down and drive the art away. They become very attached."   I am very glad that the painting returned home in good shape, undamaged, and was part of such a nice exhibition that brings art to school children in the state. Emphasis on the arts as a crucial component o

Flitting around the state with the Utah Arts Council Traveling Exhibition

"King of Yellow Heart" was selected by the Utah Arts Council to be part of their Traveling Exhibit Program for the 2011-2012 year (as part of the Utah Watercolor Society exhibit). Another good thing that came from being accepted to the UWS Spring show. So, this monarch will be flitting from one venue to another on display for the next 12 months. :) New exhibit schedule isn't posted yet, but you can click the Utah Arts Council website to find out the exhibit schedule for the show (when it gets posted).
